Colleagues, I am now able to let you know that a date, venue and speakers have been confirmed for a conference entitled: “Towards a Sustainable Society”.

Sustainable City

The date is the 11^th November, 2010  (10am – 5pm).

The venue is Nant-y-Ffin Hotel, Llandissilio.

The speakers are :

Peter Davies , UKSDC

Lis Burnett, NESTA

David Boyle , NEF

Marc Mordey NDTI.

The conference is organized, jointly, by TENP, PAVS and PLANED.

The focus of the event is community action and the working arrangements with the public sector needed to respond to the environmental, social and economic changes that face us all in the coming decades.

The purpose of the conference is to enable you to discuss these issues and, at the end of the day, to arrive at a set of principles and actions to make the transition to a Sustainable Society locally.

The discussion and presentations will extend beyond environmental policy but the themes of empowerment and collaboration are relevant to the ‘transition‘ movement and those of you interested in influencing and contributing  to the delivery of policy and public services.

I will provide you all with further details by the end of August.
